We clearly have many attractive characters here. Very attractive. Extremely attractive. Hot. Some have even been accused of wearing too many clothes.....
So tell us about your appearance. What do you like about how you look? (Don't worry. You can tell us. We like that about you, too.)
But, what about the opposite. If you could change one thing about how you look, what would that be? (Don't worry. We'd change stuff about ourselves too. And we think you're gorgeous, anyway!)
So, let us know. Whether you're blond or brunette, white skin or green, one belly button or ten: what do you like and what would you change, if you could change one thing?

Note: thanks to Fin for the question in a forum game.

Question:
a. What do you like best about how you look?
b. If you could change one thing about how you look, what would that be?
I am very handsome. Destiny is always handsome when one finally sees him.
If I could change one thing, I would become corporeal.
Then more people would know and see me.

Hi
I don't know what I like. I have green eyes.
I'm too skinny. I wish I was over 6 feet. My hair sticks out. Sometimes I break out. I don't shave yet.
Shadow
What I like about myself: I am tall. This means that even if I'm carrying a few pounds extra, I don't look quite as fat as I would if I was small.
What I don't like about myself: I am tall. Now that I'm single again, it's difficult to meet any man (particularly an Irish man) who does not feel intimidated by my 5ft 10inch, 12 stone (give or take a few pounds) frame.
Didn't I just go over all this on Friday? :)
tall
green eyes
blond hair
tan
too skinny right now
not enough scars
two tattoos and a brand
I want to shave my hair off but my sister won't let me.
Pure Fiction:
You're just about the right height for me.
Shadow
Don't worry. You're gonna get huger when you get older.
I look like Aidan, except I have more tattoos (6 on my spine, a triangle on my palm, and the brand).
I'd get rid of all my scars.
In djinn form, I'm not attractive to humans. Like all djinns, I'm very tall, gray, and what you might call lumpy. To other djinns, I'm quite attractive.
For most of my existence, I lived in India and the Middle East, where I used a human body of light brown skin and long black hair. In certain eras, I colored my hands with henna tattoos.
After I was inadvertently taken by ship to Europe, I created a new human form to better blend in with the society I found myself in. I kept this body when I moved to America, and if you meet me, you'll see I have pale skin and long red hair.
I've always had topaz eyes in human form. I don't find the color unattractive, but some people find it off-putting. It would be convenient if I could change it, but I can't.
It would also be convenient if human males would quit staring at my breasts and behind, but I'm not changing those things just to make them quit looking. I like attention. I just find it frustrating that certain types of human male are unable to see past my body to be able to appreciate my mind or talent.
Believe me, Kalila, once you start playing, they notice your talent.
I'm just an ordinary guy. Brown hair, brown eyes, about 5'11''. I've never been one of those guys that girls look at when he walks into a room, but I've never had any real problems getting a girlfriend. I certainly don't scare anybody, and I think I look all right.
Don't listen to the djinn, anyone. Kalila thinks she looks like a sexy human, but she's still just a djinn. Smells like one, too.
What are you talking about, Bo? Kalila smells great. Kind of like cinnamon.
"Smells like cinnamon." Ugh. I rest my case, Ricky.
I look like the chick to the right.
5'11", around 130 lbs. I have ugly feet. Partly from running and partly from genetics.
Aidan - good to know I'm the right height for someone somewhere in the universe - or are you of this universe?
By the way, please don't tell me when I'm going to die.
Haven't even thought of it, Pure Fiction.
I'm in your world. I only leave the ground when I fly (in my jet).
I'm tall, but I'm also a demon and there's this nasty regulation with Sentinel about no fraternization between species. Jason had a human wife though and they were very happy until she died of old age.
I think he misses her.
How could I ever get lonely with you banging about the house, mate?
I have human girlfriends all the time.
And everyone thinks I'm the one who has a problem with authority.
Kalila can take lots of different forms. Djinns shape-shift.
There's one form in particular that Ricky really should know about, I think.
Really?
Kalila, is there something I should know?
No, Ricky. Nothing at all.
Go feed your cat.
Good idea. I think I will, if I can find her. She has a habit of disappearing for long periods...
I bet Kalila's hot.
Typical cat, I assure you.
Aidan, I made the cover of Music Monthly recently. Maybe you saw it? I love red leather, and I don't care if Nevin says it clashes with my hair.
You sound pretty hot yourself, although I've become interested in humans lately. I used to only date gods and demons, but they're selfish. Humans pay attention very nicely.
Looks like I'll have to pick up that issue. If Ricky doesn't mind?
I can't date outside my species. Prince of Sentinel and all that BS.
But Kaelin's between missions at the moment.
Hey, bro. C'mere. No, closer.
With or without makeup? Well, I guess my height stays at 5'7" and I'm kind of medium sized with small boobs. (I'm glad, couldn't be bothered with big ones bouncing about). My hair was long and brown before I cut it off and dyed it purple and mother used to say I have delicate features - but big ears pointed like a pixie's and covered in as many studs and rings as there is room for. I would love to have long, delicate fingers but they're short and useful. Oh my eyes = my best feature= are grey but change with what I wear. Of course now it's mostly black I guess they're kind of stormy, like I feel most of the time. My thick lashes are good to hide behind. Under my white make up I'm a tanned colour. Some say gypsy blood got in there somewhere but, knowing my uptight family, I can't imagine how. I'm just glad I'm different to them!
You sound adorable, Candy. I'm glad we're friends.
Candy:
stop hiding.
Aidan, there aren't too many of my Music Monthly issues. It was an ordinary print run, but my ex-boyfriend, Thor, got mad that I made the cover of a magazine. He went around to the stores that were carrying it and set them on fire.
If you can find it, though, it's the "Female Rockers" edition. When I get really famous, it'll be a collectors item.
There you go bragging again, Kalila.
You're just jealous that no one will ever do a "Vampire Rockers" edition.
Tall and thin - thinner than I was.
Green eyes - blood shot really helps with getting that noticed.
Blond hair - was shoulder length with the kind of curls that looked like I'd spent ages making it that way (hated it - but couldn't get it dead straight like I actually wanted it)... fixed my hair when Will took me back to the old house - hacked is a good look for the summer.
a) I like thin best - it reminds me of disappearing.
b) I want to be invisible - not the pretend kind that some people use when they don't want to be bothered to look at you, or hear it all again, or face you - the real kind so everyone would stop looking with the different looks of pity - 'sad face', 'concerned face', 'confused face', 'embarrassed face' or 'anxious face' or the other half a dozen I hate facing.
FLOWER
I'm sure you're lovely, Flower. Please don't disappear!
Hey Nevin
I'm, basically, a coward so there's no chance I'm looking to add to the pain, no matter how briefly.
Did you know thoughts aren't always there? Well, the persistent little bleeders have started to turn up when I'm walking - you are there, sometimes, my imaginary voice of gentle things - and sneary, silent Egg puts in an appearance too.
He spends way too much time at the skate ramp, putting right whatever it is about himself he hates too - never seen anyone covered in healing cuts and grazes, just ready for re-opening - he can't resist adding scabs on his scabs.
FLOWER
Flower,
You shouldn't hide either.
Shadow, I suppose you don't really know what you look like as you don't show up in mirrors. what about shop windows and photos? How will you shave when the time comes?
Destiny = I always thought you were female!
Aidan and Kalin -- Was the brand burned on? What is it and why? Please don't shave your hair off!!
Nevin - you are so nice. Those others are sure lucky to have you as their leader.
Hi Aidan,
I hope you're right.
Hi Candy,
I used to be able to see myself in mirrors.
Also, my mom tells me.
I don't know how I'm going to shave.
You sound really pretty. Are you still with Brian?
Shadow
Sentinel brands its members. It's a big round celtic knot, more complicated than most you see, about 6 inches across. We're branded on the insides of our biceps.
I heard it hurts, but I was unconscious from a tranq dart when they did mine.
It hurts.
I won't cut my hair off if you come braid it for me, Candy.
Shy, I cannot possibly imagine a greyhound wanting to look like a pekinese. The other way around, maybe.
Aidan, I'm much to afraid of Kalila to think of touching your hair!
Shadow, I've left Brian ( I wonder if he's noticed yet) and am in America now. I hope you're being good and staying away from beer. Don't be too impatient to grow up, it's not all it's cracked up to be!
Well, how can I describe myself? I'm about four feet tall, with (according to my author) hair the "burnished bronze of oak leaves in the fall, and eyes the color of the evening sky." Sounds very romantic, but I'm actually rather plain for a hawen. Not lovely and delicate, like Pelwyn.
I'm neither pretty or ugly, just one of those people no one notices. I suppose that's why Faldur never notices me. Except for that one time, but I think he had too much to drink. I'm sure he regrets it now.
I don't.
Pelwyn told me that Mel told her that Faldur had nearly been killed that night, and “wasn’t himself.” Funny. I thought he was more himself than I had ever seen him.
I may never find out if I don't get out of here.
I look like what I am. A Ranger. A little rough around the edges, not usually too clean. Lean, dark hair, green eyes. My men call me The Cat. They say I'm antisocial. Too self-contained.
They don't understand that I've been on the trail too long to waste breath or energy on idle conversation. You have to conserve your strength, as much as possible and as often as possible.
I wish I knew who this "Hugh" person was, though. If one more person asks me if I am related to "Hugh" I'm going to reply, "No, but Hugh the hell are you???"
Candy, you can have Aidan for now. I'm pretty busy keeping Ricky in line. Would you believe he's trying to line up another charity gig for us? After Vic threw a fit last time, you'd think Ricky would've learned his lesson. That's humans for you, though.
Destiny, can I give Marenya another sandwich? She seems quite nice and it's not fair that her author has imprisoned her without proper food.
Yeah, Marenya, how'd you screw up?
I'm sure she did nothing wrong, Vic. It's not nice to make accusations. Maybe she has a mean author.
Want a little company, Marenya? Maybe we can make Faldur jealous.
So this is where you guys are. I thought you were supposed to be rehearsing. Answer Mira's question or go play music. Quit harassing the other characters.
Thanks, Ricky! I really appreciate your help. But, I'm so lonely I'm actually enjoying the attention.
Vic, I didn't "screw up" (whatever that means), my author did. Something about "priorities." But, her "semester" is over, so perhaps that means she can spend some time with me again. When she's not taking the puppy out.
Bo, thanks for your offer but Raynor is already trying that. He says that we have very little time left and that he can't face everyone after this unless I'm at his side, and he'll do anything if only I'll stay with him. He's very persuasive. After all, he's a Prince and princes have powers we ordinary Hanorja don't. I want him. I want him very much. I couldn't *not* want him. But I don't love him. Not that way.
I wish Faldur would hurry up and save me! Or that I'd find some way out of this hell hole.
What's that dripping noise? It's driving me crazy! I can't tell where it's coming from. There must be water dripping from somewhere, but this cave is dry.
Wait... I think I see a little tunnel in that corner. I'm going to go investigate.
Be careful, Marenya!
Come on, Destiny. Let me give her a sandwich. And a bottle of water.
Now, wait a minute, please. In my own defense, I must say that although Marenya *was* held prisoner for about six months last year while I was working full time and going to night school, she has been out and happily ever after'd since I finished the first draft in March.
For some reason, however, she seems to think I need to go back and rewrite that part. I think she's just a tiny bit jealous because I went back to the "beginning before the beginning" and spent some time with Faldur, adding a new opening chapter. She doesn't have a selfish bone in her body, but subconsciously I think she's longing for some attention.
So by all means, find her a sandwich and some water so she'll stop complaining!
Yes.
You will all be pleased to know that Maryena will soon have a sandwich and a bottle of water.
It is her Destiny.
For those who wonder, I am neither gender. I am.
I'll still give you a sandwich and some water, Marenya, but it wasn't nice of you not to tell us your author had already released you.
Oh great - Destiny just scared me.
I go to great lengths to disappear and become invisible only to still be around wearing out grooves on the Earth.
Can't we just turn out the light?
I like how I look as a man.
If I could change one thing, it would be to would stop turning into a damnable lion each night. Do you have any concept of how much that hurts?
