As always, feel free to discuss whatever is on your mind, or your character's mind.
To start the conversation, I'm really pleased to announce that Come In Character is now a partnership! Ann (bunnygirl), the creator of the (soon-to-be-published) Maelstrom band will be sharing the site with me. I'm thrilled! Ann is fantasically creative, and smart, and honest, and innovative, and....lots of other things that all make for a great partner! Thank you, Ann, for taking on the commitment. I really look forward to how her input will help shape and build this site in wonderful ways.
(There is a possibility that a person or two may join us (you - if you're interested), but for now we're starting the two of us.)
Although both of us will post throughout the week as able, we've divided the week in terms of posting.
The tenative schedule is set at
Mira:
Fridays: Character of the Week
Saturday/Sunday: Event, game, social stuff, open discussion
Mondays: Getting to know you, emote this, imagine this, etc.
Ann:
Tuesday/Wednesday: Group Story
Thursday: Comment on a picture, quote, etc.
Thanks, everyone, for your patience as things get settled. Let us know what you think as things move on. As always, your input is both solicited and very welcome!
Here's to the new and expanded Come In Character!

Yea, Ann! Thanks for being my new partner!
Happy, happy!
Thank you both!
This site is great fun!
Yes. Ann and Mira, this was your destiny.
I shall continue to guide and instruct you, and tell you when you are on the wrong path.
You are very welcome.

You're letting my author help out around here? You know it's her fault I've been burnt by lightning, crushed in a building collapse, kidnapped, almost castrated, and barely escaped a poisoning attempt, right?
Sheesh. What's this place coming to?
And she sent me to help you every time, Ricky. Get over it.
Congrats. Good luck with everything. This is a good site.
Stop whining Ricky. I'm sure there's worse in your future.
Kidding.
Or am I?
Anonymous, I'm perfectly capable of keeping Ricky safe as long as he doesn't do anything too stupid. He blames his author when the real problem is that my ex-boyfriend is jealous of our success and of Ricky's role in that.
Our author wants us to succeed. Really.
Thanks for the vote of confidence, Kalila. And thanks to all of the rest of you here. I hope others will want to help out, but we'll keep having a good time here, regardless.
And, uh...Ricky? I know it was no oversight that you forgot to make me a reservation in San Angelo when you booked a hotel for the band. I'll be thinking of you next Saturday night as I bunk down in Big Spring because there are no more hotel rooms in San Angelo. Just you wait...
One of the nicest things about this, is on the days that Ann is in charge, I can relax and play around with characters.
Oh. And give her a hard time, of course. After all, isn't that the fun part. :-)
Hi
This is cool, I guess.
Does this mean Bo's in charge?
Shadow
That's wonderful But... you mean the demons are going to be running the site? Uh-oh!
Woof, woof!
Wag, wag, wag, wag, wag.
These demons are friends and maybe they'll protect us from any bad strange ones who come along. Scruffy will be a good watch dog anyway. Come for a walk, boy?
It'd be my honor to protect you, Candy.
Actually, I'd probably ask Kaelin. He's a better guard than I am--more experience at kill--um. At "solving problems".
Shadow, if Bo or any of the demons get too rambunctious, just let me know. I try to keep it from getting out of hand, but if they're creating bad publicity for themselves, I'll send them to rehearse for awhile until they get it under control.
Listen to him! Isn't Ricky cute? He actually thinks we do as he says!
Folks, it's my band. I put it together and everyone, even Ricky, is contracted to me. You can bring any problems to my attention and I'll make sure they're dealt with.
I spent today limping on a twisted ankle (so, making my usual speedy dashes to take over computers got difficult until very late on) I'm glad that the collaboration will mean the CIC will continue to be one of my biggest time wasters!
FLOWER's AUTHOR
In that case, Kalila, can you persuade Bo to don a chemise? He is a bit... distracting. I'm having a hard time keeping my thoughts honorable.
(blush)
I'm wondering when I'll get out of this predicament I'm in. It seems like I've been here over a month now and nothing's happening. Not that I expect to be rescued, but the suspense is killing me. Literally. Hanorja can die in captivity.
Destiny, any more sandwiches in my future?
Marenya, Bo doesn't want your thoughts to be honorable. It's just how incubi are. But if enough people around here find his attire unpleasant, he'll want to change. Other people's pleasure is very important to him. If you think he'd be sexier if he covered up, just tell him.
I'm sorry you've been in a bad situation for over a month. Have you talked to your author about it? It's important that we keep our authors in line or they'll do whatever they want with us.
I thought Bo and I agreed that the fewer clothes the better. In fact, I think some of the girls ought to shed a few...
I think we ladies are waiting to see what you look like first, Aidan.
Yeah, there's just this little matter of me being brought up on charges of treason if I start forwarding pictures of myself. It'd pretty much be like drawing a big red target on my head with a "shoot here" arrow for about ten thousand demon terrorists.
Honestly, our house burned down a few years ago. I don't even know if there are any pictures of me anymore.
Actually, he meant to say he's flattered by your interest, ladies.
No, he meant to say "Ladies first." Cuz that's just the sort of polite, thoughtful bloke Aidan is.
Marenya,
First of all, ignore my cousins.
Second--anything we can do to help?
Maryena
Yes. Many sandwiches are your destiny.
Enjoy.
Hi Rickey,
Okay. Maybe Bo can help me find a girlfriend.
Shadow
Hi Mira - You have received (lots of trumpet blowing and drum rolls) . . .a Kreativ Blog award. If you want to post it you can copy the award image from my blog, stick it up on come in character, list seven things you love (maybe that could be used as one of this week's posts?) and pass it on to seven others :)
Dear Aiden,
Thank you very much for your kind offer of assistance. Destiny has already helped by bringing this little dog into the house. You see, the people at the animal shelter told my author that the doggie has to be kept on leash all the time for at least the first two weeks, so my author is therefore tied to the other end of that leash and can't do very much other than sit and read, watch TV or be on the computer. So maybe she will use some of this down time to write.
Aidan, you could help by telling her that it will all be okay and she can relax and start writing again. Even if it won't, could you just tell her that anyway? It might help.
Dear Bo,
I think you would be very attractive in one of those Irish fishermen's sweaters... the nubbly ones that are fun to rub your hands over...
