Getting to Know You: Bravest Thing

Some of us lead quiet lives, while others regularly encounter danger. Everyone needs some kind of courage, though, when facing the difficulties of life.

So what's the bravest thing you ever did? Whether you defeated an evil wizard or outsmarted a tiny spider, we want to know! Tell us about your most courageous act!

Characters only, please.

I made the decision to take my mother off life support.

I'm afraid I've never done anything brave. I greatly admire courage in others, though.

Ah Aimless...

I didn't release my arrow once. It's why they all say I'm different. But maybe it's because I'm craven. I'm not really sure.

I left everything I ever knew and traveled 1400 miles on horseback to a place I'd only heard stories about. I was terrified. But I had never had a life of my own, and it was what I had to do.

A guy doesn't get many opportunities for real bravery in modern America. Before I met Kalila, I'd say I hadn't ever done anything brave because I didn't need to. Since then, I've done a lot of things, but they're probably more stupid than brave.

You saved my life, Ricky. That was brave.

Ricky said...

I fell on you. It was an accident.

Kalila said...

You still saved me, and you were very badly injured. You were brave when I healed you, too, although you don't remember. I didn't think it would be nice to let you remember so much pain.

Ricky said...

Kalila, how many times have I told you to leave my brain alone? Can't you just let me remember what I remember naturally?

How about you say what your bravest thing is?

Kalila said...

I'm always brave. The list would be very tedious for you, me, and everyone else.

Hi

I don't think I'm brave. I'd like to be.

I had fun with Aidan and brothers, though.

If you want to do something really brave, Kalila, you should admit your feelings.

Kalila said...

For a coward, Nevin, you're skating pretty close to the edge with that remark. Don't you have some fairy glens to play in or something?

Nevin said...

Actually, I think I'll go to the Japanese gardens and see if I can find inspiration for a new song. Bye!

Shadow, you have the potential to be really brave. I mean, we're all like a foot and a half taller than you and you still got in there and fought.

Aidan is exaggerating. Shadow isn't that short.

Be nice, Aidan.

You first, Kae. :P

I got permission from Mira to throw in a quick commercial break. :)

Over at my magazine's blog we're holding a First Page Game. It's not a real contest, in that there are no prizes, but we put submitted first pages up on the blog for editorial critique. It's been pretty fun and successful in the past.

Thanks.
Now back to our regular programming.

I am fearless. I use bombs, they go first.

So what? Are we a bunch of wimps!!? C'mon! I know there're brave ones among you. (Aidan told me so.)

Aidan said...

So what brave thing have you done, Marc?

Marc said...

I'm YOUR sworn guard, aren't I?
