A Forum Game: Three Little Words
Today we're going to try something new. Below are three words. Use one or more in your comment or just share your thoughts about the words. Once you've offered your own take, feel free to expound on other people's comments.
Today's Words:
aura ukulele curiosity
Let's see what kinds of interesting discussions this can lead to!
A ukelele hung on the wall of our basement. We used to play with it sometimes. I never was curious about why it was there. I never even asked my dad where it came from. I just accepted it as part of my environment.
Children are like that. We think that the way things are is how they always were and always will be, and it never occurs to us that there was a Before that had anything to do with Now.
I have trouble seeing people - I would imagine that seeing auras would make you a bit of a curiosity. I had to look up ukulele cos I thought it was invented - some bloke was playing it - way small!
Flower, an aura can be influenced by both health and personality. Yours suggests a very kind heart and sensitive soul, but there's a shadow there, too. That's your sadness. If you work on building your happiness, the dark places will go away.
Yes, Nevin, a akulele (that makes two times now) aura IS a curiosity. What do you make of it? Is it a haunted ukulele (oh no, going for a record three!) ???
I'll dress up as a cowboy for you, Candy. I'll play a ukulele for you, too, if it'll turn you on. I prefer my bass guitar, though. It's sexier. No curiosity about that.
The trouble with you Bo is that, though i adore you and would be curious to see you in person,I;m afraid that you might too soon fling off the cowboy garb , put down your ukulele and, unable to resist your sexy aura, do what incubi (plural?) do, which would spoil a lovely friendship. Am I right,Nevin?
Candy, you're very wise. I'm afraid that even when Bo's intentions toward a human are honorable, which sometimes happens, his demon nature eventually takes over. It's nothing personal, though.
And by the way, you have a lovely aura. I could tell when I met you that you were a very creative person.
One thing I have is lots of curiosity. It's what let me find that dark room full of musical instruments down in the basement. I betchya one of them is a ukulele.Good set of drums too. I wiped the cobwebs off and had a go. Haven't lost the touch none. No one goes down there,it has a real spooky aura. I can practice. I play kinda different, like my grandad taught me in the islands. Voodoo stuff too. Cool! You'll like it Nevin. 'Course I'll probably die here but maybe playin with you guys gives me somethin' to look forward to. Thanks for bein nice.

I can see auras. And I can play a ukulele, too, although it's not one of my favorite instruments. I understand they were very popular at one time.
Why would anyone want to play a ukulele? Is it because they don't have a guitar? This has definitely aroused my curiosity.
The aura around the ukulele (wow, that's the first time I ever wrote that word) aroused a curiosity.
A ukulele with an aura would definitely be a curiosity, Anon. I've never seen one like that before.
It would be more interesting than most human auras, though, Nevin.
My aura glowed as the twangy sound of the ukelele piqued my curiosity: what is it like in Hawaii?
Curiosity led me
to a torpical isle,
where I burnished my aura
living free
and playing ukulele on the shore
Hi
I don't know how to play the ukele.
Shadow
Don't worry about it, Shadow. I can't play ukulele, either. I'm not sure why anyone would, actually.

Seeing auras, as well as people and shadows, must be way confusing.
Are auras like about personalities or health or what?

Vampires don't have auras. Or curiosity. And I don't like ukuleles.
This is dumb discussion. I'm going to see what's new down at the blood bank.

No, vampires don't have auras, they leave stains though.
Why is it that vampires are known to have musical talent and taste?
Why can a vampire enjoy opera, classical music, dramatic music,
even rock,
but never ever country music or banjo, ukulele, dolcimer, or cow bell?
For me there is always a cowboy aura about a man who plays a ukulele and I am curious to find out if he is as romantic as I imagine him to be.
I hope I will meet some cowboys while I'm in the U.S.

But Nevin I don't think there is anything good left - I think niceness seeps out when... after... you stop thinking life is meant to be fair.
Hi Candy,
If I saw you in person, I wouldn't do anything to your aura.
Promise.

Anyone send for pizza?
If I could see auras, Tanessa's would be a dark color, like red or black maybe. I'd like to think mine was something like a medium blue.
-Brandon
Anonymous, I could go for a pizza. I'm not sure what that has to do with ukuleles, but count me in!
I wouldn't mind some pizza!
I play the ukuele quite well, and I have no aura. In case you were curious.
The owner of the old curiosity shop, had an aura about her.In the window I saw a Ukulele for the first time.
