Yes, one should stick to one's principles always. What is a person without honor, and how can one be honorable without first defining the principles upon which that honor depends?

I agree with Marenya, but the keyis to define your principles carefully, so as not to create a false paradox between following the letter of rule versus keeping the spirit of it.

Congrats on going into 2nd grade, Faye! I remember 2nd grade. I had a really great teacher. She taught us to always be ourselves no matter what. Hmm, I wonder if she's still alive, or if she got killed for her principles. By the way, I used to have a principal too. He was really nice. I feel kind of bad. The first thing I did when I met him was to get blackmail on him. It came in handy though. It kept my friends and I out of trouble a lot.

Now onto the topic of the day. I have my principles, such as always being true to who I am, and I'm so hardheaded that I wouldn't change most them. They already took everything I had because of them, so why should I change them now?
