I have an old, ugly bowl - the kind that's shaped like a chicken and the top half is the lid. It was my grandmother's, and she always had horehound candy in it, just for me.
My Great Aunt's diary is my most precious thing =it is my map for the months to come and my link to a past before I was here. I hope to learn what made her the beautiful woman she was so maybe I can be like her. I thought her perfect but perhaps she wasn't always that way.
This question makes me think that perhaps I should find something of hers to keep. I haven't actually rootled through her belongings yet. No reason not to really. It wouldn't be stealing to take some little piece of jewelry to wear like Aidan does, would it?
Aidan,I don't know. Only one other person knows she's dead. There's no body and I never said anything to anyone, just sort of kept going. I never thought of anything being mine. Mike's looking after her house. He's real nice to me, though at first I thought him weird cause of his cerebral palsy. He's smart, a lawyer, and he told me to get in touch if I need money or want to talk.I suspect he knew Great Aunt was going to do what she did, and maybe she told him to watch out for me. I just can't ask him if anything's mine though,It feels greedy. Weird, as the only reason I came to America was to get stuff. Mum said we'd share it. But I'll look for something to wear as a keepsake when I'm back at the motel tonight.
Wow, you're making me think hard here. Marenya is not materialistic, but she should have something to remember her father by.
It had occurred to me already that she has nothing of Faldur's to remember him by, either. No gift or token to hold on to when she is imprisoned. I may need to remedy that.
Hmm... I'm with Shannon. This is a tough question. My cat's pretty precious to me, but I don't think that's what you mean. :-)
The medicine pouch that I crafted when I was 13, while on a vision quest in southern Mississippi, is pretty important to me. I take it with me wherever the hubby and I travel. In some ways, it serves as a gentle reminder to get back to Nutmeg and Indy's story.
Well, as long as we are being ourselves today... One of my most precious possessions is a cobalt blue glass pitcher I bought at Monticello when I went there with my parents for a last family trip before I moved out of the house to attend graduate school. It was a very special weekend for me.
And I love blue. And it looks so pretty with flowers in it.
my most precious thing to me is weapons so i can protect my self my friends and my family. If i would ever lose my weapons i would go out to get some more.It a dangerous world out there with the gangs and the violence and the wars

I have my dad's wedding ring linked to a necklace. I'm not sure why I kept it, except that my mom wore it that way.
My dad's lighter.
It comes in handy.
And my rifle.
Wow. Such a difficult question!

I don't think so, Candy. Don't you own it all now?

I look forward to hearing about it, Candy.

Well, thank goodness something does.
Oh, Meg. Give our poor author a break.

Shannon, I collect things with roosters and chickens on them, so I would love that bowl! What a special memento of your grandmother.
I think those were originally used for serving chicken dumplings.
I can't believe Marenya doesn't have something of Faldur's.
I wish I had something of Kaelin's sometimes. Having peoples' stuff helps me feel them, like they're right there.
You steal my t-shirts all the time. Doesn't that count?
Well, you are about my size. Snort.
