Since things have been pretty stressful around here lately, why don't we focus on some R&R for a change? When you need to refresh your mind and body, where do you go? What do you do?
Is your current method of "getting away from it all" effective, or do you wish you had the means to try something different, like a spa weekend or a spiritual retreat of some kind?
Writers and characters can answer this question, so come on everyone - tell us what you do when you need a little rejuvenation!

I wish I had a more efficent way to destress than watch Doctor Who on my laptop....
I like to play my flute
I think about blue
(Sky is a Screnzy character--half-bird who just escaped from a circus for the second time)
I kill people
Cool it, Joel. That is not cool.
When I'm there, I like to sit on the roof of my aunt's house so I'm among the tree branches and far from people. I even had a bird sit on my shoulder once by mistake.
That sounds lovely, Candy. I would so sit on a roof if I could. Instead, I try to relax with yoga, a walk, a nap, or a swim - and during the summer, my hammock helps, too. But, Ann, I would definitely not say "no" to a spa getaway or spiritual retreat. ;-)
I like hang out with my wife to relax.
ALONE.
I know what you mean, Aidan. I've always appreciated "alone time" with my wife, too. Can be very, uh, relaxing.
I like to go for long walks outdoors, alone.
Or spend time in the garden.
That photo is just lovely. It reminds me of the gardens at Tor Aden.
I like going to the beach. Or just reading a book.
Reading a book at the beach is even better.
I've always wanted to get one of those hot rock spa treatments. But, wow, are they expensive. Or one of those things where they cover you in green goo. It's supposed to be good for your skin.
I find Dr. Who a little stressful, Galadriel! That show is intense.
I enjoy it, but it doesn't relax me the way a glass of wine does.
Wine! I forgot to mention wine.
I saw this on Facebook the other day:
"To treat a bottle of wine properly, you should first remove the cork and allow it to breathe.
If it doesn't look like it is breathing, give it mouth-to-mouth rescuscitaton."
(laughs)
Beating Aidan up relaxes us both.
Hey Sky,
You just think about blue? That's interesting.
Aidan, you can see auras, right? What does blue mean in an aura?
Ooh, I'm with Ginger. Nothing like a nice glass of wine... and a hot bubble bath - preferably enjoyed at the same time.
Usually peaceful, love. Or sensitive, sometimes.
My aura is usually blue.
You, peaceful? (snort)
My aura IS blue. I think it's my ken.
